Dali Day at the Memphis Brooks

Yesterday I had the opportunity to work with 20 other illustration students from my school at the Memphis Brooks Museum, doing demonstrations on the process of illustration.  I took a break from my regular homework to work on a fun, personal piece (once its done, I'll post the final piece).  And the top picture, is me working/ demonstrating on my illustration.

Astronaut

This is the last character that I got to make for my 3D illustration class this semester.  I created this astronaut for an 11 second storyboard.  I worked in a group of two people, and they also created their own characters (I might post pictures later on this week).  The awesome part is, at least I get to see my character in a 3D form.

Materials: Sculpey (helmet, hands, boots), wire, foam, fabric, cardboard, canvas, shoelaces, and acrylic paint.

Zoodle Drawings!

Starting last October 2013, the illustration department at my school has been going to the Memphis Zoo once a week to draw the animals.  I went every week with my classmates, and tried to draw as many animals as I could.  These are my 10 favorite sketches that I did.
